BBC iPlayer Access Issues

Note: make sure that it's not a free account that's asking for help with this issue. Also, please note that the iPlayer does not work with Hotspot Shield for iOS and Mac so it is not supported. Do not send any troubleshooting steps if the user is on iOS or Mac.

If you receive a ticket from a Premium user reporting issues to access the BBC iPlayer outside the UK, you can follow these steps to try to help the user:

Ask the Premium user to try with the Ireland Virtual Location
Add 1 week of Speed Boost (This will connect the user to dedicated servers with less traffic, therefore, the user will connect to different IP Ranges).

If the user contacts us back confirming to have access to the BBC iPlayer after the previous steps, you can add from 1 to 6 months of Speed Boost as compensation.
