Search and Activation of Credit Card payments (Stripe)

Published · updated

Usually, user's account gets activated automatically upon successful processing of his credit card payment and user also receives an email with his activation code.

Sometimes, it does not happen.

We request the user to provide the following information to locate his payment:

1\. Last 4 digit of the CC that was used for purchase. 2\. CC expiration date. 3\. Date of purchase. 4\. Amount of purchase. 5\. Name as displayed on CC. 6\. Email used (if any) 7\. Name of the merchant on your card statement – AnchorFree or DRI Anchorfree, Google Hotspot -?

If name of merchant on user's card statement is DRI AnchorFree  - he paid through Esellerate (Digital River). We need to search this payment in Digital River system (look at other article in this section).

If it is AnchorFree - he paid through Stripe.

If it is Google Hotspot - he paid at Google Play. We need to search it at Google wallet. (look at other article in this section).

To search payment in Stripe - open Stripe Dashboard and type last 4 digits of user's credit card in the Search field.

Then click on Show more results link:

Now you will see dates of all transactions where this combination of digits - 2510 - was used. If you see a transaction that matches user's date of payment and amount - mouse over it  - make right click - Open in new tab.

In the new tab - verify user's name and country:

If it is the transaction we are looking for - click on Customer Information - page will reload and show you his licence number (activation code). Copy the code and activate user's account.

To activate user's account - open his account in our Admin tool: Go to Used Codes section - click on + button - paste the code in the pop-up field - click on Submit.

Then click on Refresh button of this account:
